This has been an exceptionally challenging year when we have had to deal with the twin terrors of COVID and the Trump Administration. What a wonderful way to end this unprecedented period with a great victory for women’s reproductive rights in Argentina! Finally, after many years of tireless efforts by women’s rights advocates across the country, the Senate in Argentina voted today to legalize abortion through the 14th week of pregnancy. Moreover, these critical services will be offered free of charge in public hospitals throughout the country. Argentina is a compelling example of why women around the world should never lose faith and never give up the fight for their fundamental rights!
